INTA and Business Districts

EPAD, the public development corporation of Paris -La Defense, an INTA member chairing the not-for-profit association Sustainable Network – Rethinking Business Districts, invited INTA to participate in an international workshop on Sustainable Business Districts. The meeting was held on 28-29 January 2010 in Paris-La Défense, France.
The purpose of the workshop, organized by the French ISO chapter, AFNOR and the Sustainable Network, Rethinking Business Districts, was to exchange best practice, define general principles and design a framework for performance appraisal of sustainable development of Business Districts. Participants include business districts of Beijing, Cape Town, Windhoek, Liverpool, Montreal, Moscow and Paris-La Défense, as well as companies such as Bouygues, Dalkia, GDF Suez, Hermitage, Oger International and Unibail Rodamco.
Francis Neher, INTA Treasurer and Michel Sudarskis, Secretary General pointed out that INTA is carrying a reflection on these issues in the framework of its programme Objective 2030 that should lead to an international roundtable at the end of the year.
