INTA invited as Juror of the Living Labs Global Showcase Award
In
the framework of its “Objective 2030” programme, INTA invites partners
to its events and in return is often invited to theirs. These
partnerships help to enrich the services INTA offers to its membership.
Living Labs Global, a non-profit association with the objective to
promote innovation in services and mobility in cities and a partner of
our 33rd Congress in Taiwan, invited INTA to seat in the Jury of the
2009 Showcase Award.
The Cities of Barcelona, Caceres, Chicago, Eindhoven, La Selva, Oeiras,
Sant Cugat, Stockholm and Taipei, have joined Living Labs Global to
announce the innovative solutions selected to address their societal
challenges. 43 international jurors reviewed 317 entries from 28
countries and 140 cities; 11 winners are now invited to implement their
solutions in the participating cities, The Award Ceremony took place in
Sant Cugat del Valles with hundred innovators, and local and business
leaders.
Nine categories of innovative products or mobility services were identified by the cities:
· Automation of Urban Services by Barcelona (Spain).
· Solutions for Smart Communities: Integrating Health, Education, Public Safety by Chicago, Ill. (USA)
· Culture and Societal Participation and Collaboration Tools by Caceres (Spain)
· ICT and increasing citizen participation in public processes by Eindhoven (Netherlands)
· Improvements to water management by Oeiras (Portugal)
· Intelligent Living Service by Taipei (Taiwan)
· A digitally enabled accessible ecoCity by Sant Cugat del Valles (Spain)
· New solutions to integrate tourism, innovation in gastronomy and rural landscapes by Comarca La Selva (Spain)
· eServices for Citizens and Corporations by Stockholm Kista Science City.
