INTA has been invited by the French authorities of the Isle of La Reunion in the Indian Ocean to initiate an international in-depth reflection on Sustainable Development Strategies for Island States. This reflection aims to underline the commitment of this territory to an integrated and sustainable approach to development to improve the living conditions of local populations. One of these improvements is the impact of the new train-tram system to share knowledge and experiences and advise the local authorities on the Island. In that respect INTA has gathered a team of international practitioners to advice the Region on territorial development strategies, followed by a seminar where the results of the advisory panel were disseminated to participants of the Indian Ocean region.
