Summer Course
INTA's International Summer Courses for professionals in Urban
Development offer unique training programmes focusing on the innovative
urban practices that strengthen local urban development and
regeneration strategies. INTA's Summer Course is designed to have
immediate benefit to the professional work of the participants, as they
will be able to apply the acquired new knowledge to various projects
they are involved with. The blend of theory and practical exercises
enable to contextualise the learning and understand the impact of urban
development policy on the ground. The Summer Course allows people to
get the most out of the training programme developing their level of
knowledge and understanding.
The Summer Courses are small (+- 20 participants) in scale to allow
the most in-depth exchange between the participants and the lecturers.
The group is diverse both geographically and professionally. The
lecturers are well-know practitioners sharing their vast experience and
expertise in the field under review.
The courses are designed for young and mid-term professionals who
wish to reflect on their professional experience and frame it in an
international context.
Summer Course 3: 5-9 July 2010 Saint-Quentin en Yvelines, France
INTA's 3rd Professional Summer Course will take place in St Quentin-en-Yvelines from 5-9 July 2010.
The theme of INTA's 2010 Course will be Global competitiveness, attractiveness and innovation. The new leverages for metropolitan planning : fantasy or reality?
The programme combines feedback, conceptual inputs, workshops and case studies from different geographical areas (France, UK, Taiwan, Singapore, Spain...). The training sessions are conducted by an international team of experienced practitioners and researchers.

Summer Course 2: 31 Aug - 4 Sept 2009 St. Quentin-en-Yvelines, France

INTA Summer Course 2009 has been held in St-Quentin-en-Yvelines in
collaboration with the University of Versailles
Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines and the Agglomeration of Saint-Quentin in
Yvelines, France. It took place between 31st
August and 4th September 2009.
This Summer Course was designed to enhance the
participants'
understanding of the challenges of urban development in the modern
world. It was aimed at practitioners with a few years experience who
wish to broaden their skills from considering the international
examples and from mixing with colleagues from many different
backgrounds and countries.
